STRUCK OFF ROLL

EX-WHAKATANE BARRISTER AND SOLICITOR EXPUNGED The Qourt of Appeal made an order striking William Edgar Ward, formerly of Whakatane., barrister and solicitor, off the rolls of barristers and solicitors of the Dominion. The ground relied on by the Law Society was failure on the part of the practitioner to keep the required trust account books. The practitioner was not represented, but counsel for the Law Society stated that he had to-day received a telegram to the effect that an affidavit was being prepared and would be filed on behaif of the practitioner. The Court expressed the opinion that the practitioner had had mote than sufficient time already, and made an order striking him off, sayihg' at the same time that if the practitioner had an acceptable explahation it eould he made the basis of an appiication for re-instatement.
