S. Robertson presiding. In the case of the Whaka-Waikite match, the referee reported that at 3. '6 neitber team was o.ni the ground and he had called the match off. The Whaka delegate said that his team had been misled by a Waikite menxber. The chairman said that Whaka had made a mistabe in not taking the field and kicking off. The Wadkite delegate said that Waikite could have got a team. but were unable to get out on time. The union decided that no points be awarded to eitber team. The case was considered of R. Max'iu of Kaharoa who was ordered off for what the referee thought was a delibex-ate blow but which the player claimed to be a fend. The Kaharoa delegate said that if the referee could not tell a fend from a puneh, he should not be allowed to referee. He asked that the match be replayed. He did not see why Kaharoa should be singled out every time. The chairman: They're a bit unfortunate, that's all. The chairman also explained that his son had been the player struck and he had thought that it was a pretty hard fend. The uniom decided, in view of the referee's report, to take no further action. Time of Matches A request from the Old Boys delegate that more matches at 3 p.m. be put on for .them since they were handicapped by some of their players being unable to play at 1.30 was brought up by a request from an Old Boy player for a transfer to Waikite and caused some discussioix. The Okere delegate informed the union that it could be taken definitely that the ' Rotoiti B team was disbandmg. The union took the view that as ihe union had no official notification of this, the matter must be held in albeyance and could be handled by the emergency committee. Rep. Match The secretary reported that in connection with the Waikato v. Bay of Plenty match, the Waikato Union was not prepared to contribute towards a curtain raiser .and he had got in touch with Matamata suggesting a match between Matamata and Rotorua juniors as a curtain raiser. Mr. Dixon said that it looked as if Rotorua was not going to get much of a look in for representative players. Mr. L. Some teams seemed to be fortunate in gettdng more than their share of Nos. 1 and 2 grounds. Mr. Anderson said that the union owed a duty to the public to allocate the best football to the best ground. The allocation showed that -one team (Whaka) had had 7 matches on grounds 1 .and 2 and Old Boys A 4 on these. The chairman said that it was very difficult to allocate grounds to fit all teams.
