At the Isle of Man motor-cycle competitions the Twenty-four Hours' Grand Prix resulted: — Nuvolari Summer (Alfaromeo machine), 1953i miles, averaging 81.39 per hour, a record, first; Varent Chinetti (Alfaromeo), 1952.9 miles, second; Lewis Richards (Alfaromeo), 1889.7 miles, third. There were 29 starters of whom 13 finished.
