BIBLE CLASS RALLY Af OTAMARAKAU ON JUNE 3 The Bay of Plenty Methodist Young Women's and Young Men's Bible Class Unions combined in holding a highly successful rally at Otamarakau on June 3. The rally at which there were 83 members present from Tauranga, Te Puke, Whakatane and Opotiki, was one of the most successful yet held. The first function of the day was the annual general meeting of the Young Men's Union. The annual report and finaneial statement showed the union's position to be good. The headquarters of the union is again to be located at Whakatane. The combined serviee which followed the meeting was presided over by the president of the Young Men's Union and addressed by Mr. F. N. Christian of Tauranga. His very practical address was followed by the thanksgiving serviee at which all the classes made their offerings for the work of their own movements. The afternoon was occupied by sports. After the rally, the Opotiki classes were the guests of the Whakatane classes for the week-end. On Saturday evening an enjoyable social was held. On Sunday morning an impressive serviee of worship was held at 8 a.m. on the hill top at Whakatane. At 11 a.m., Rev. G. R. Peterson, cf ■Opotiki, condueted the bible class serviee in the Whakatane Church. The Opotiki visitors returned home in the afternoon.
