TWO MAORIS LOST ON PIG HUNTING TRIP

Matamata, Thursday. On Friday two young Maoris, R. Marsh, eldest son of R. Mafsh, a married man with two children, and W. D. Douglas, a son of Mr. W'. Douglas, aged 17, went pig hunting at the back of Okauia, hut did not return. A large party of Maoris under the leadership of W. Aoake and W. Douglas have been searching, and tracks have been found acfoss the range. About 40 men propose to scour the Tauranga side of the ranges to-day.
