Christchurch, W ednesday. At the conclusion of the hearing in the Magistrate's Court of charges against John Cranley Rex, former hotel keeper, that he had failed to disclose all his assets and that he had made material omissions from his statement of affairs to the Official Assignee when he was adjudged a bankrupt, the magistrate committed Rex to the Supreme Court for trial, Rex having pleaded not guilty. The magiserate expressed the opinion that the ease ought to go to the Supreme Court. It was the type of case that should be gone into fully. Bail was allowed in £50 and one surety of £50.
