TERRIBLE EXPLOSIGNS IN JAPAN RESULT IN MANY DEATHS

Rec. May 28, 5.5 p.m. Kobe, May 27. A terrible explosion in the Mitsui mine at Toyohara, Saghalien, killed 58, while 450 are enombed. Their rescue, if hey are alive, will be most diffieult. S'even were killed and 239 injured in a coal explosion at Suzaki in the Bonin Island.
