REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF WHAKATANE RRANCH ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME -

The monthly meeting of th'e Whakatane branch of the League of Mothers was held in the Parish Hall on Thursday afternoon, Mrs. L. Buddle presiding. Items were given by the following: Th'e Institute Glee Club rendered "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" and "Cradle Song." Mrs. Luxton sang "The Link Divine" with violin obligato by Mrs. Whitford Waugh; Mrs. K. Stewart being the accompanist. Mrs. Wills (Auckland) gave an interesting talk on economy. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostesses Mesdames L. W. Lunton, F. G. Macklow, R. Campbell, and Miss Gretchen Bridger after which Mrs. W. E. Donnelly gave a very interesting address on religious education, followed by general discussion on the subject.
