ROTORUA SITTING NO 3 AUTHORITY DEALS WITH NUMBER OF RUNS MAJORITY UNALTER1ED The majority of the applications a% hieh came before the No. 3 Transport Licensing Authority during its sitting in Rotorua this week were granted without amendment hut a few minor alt'erations were inade in the fares and tiraetable of the Rotorua- Whakarewaretva service ruri by the Rotorua Bus Company. Sections were revised into Malfroy Road, Grey Street, Devon Street, Scphia Street and Whakarewarewa anc} the fares are to be respectively first section, adults 2d, children ld; second, 3d, ld; third, 4d, 2d; fourth, 5d, 2d; fifth, 6d, 3d. There are to be no return tickets and there will be j no alteration in the price for twelve ; trip concession cards which will re- ; main at 3/-. Children travelling toi and from school will be charged ld . *>u:h way as formerly. In ihe case cf the Rotorua-Ngongo- , taha service run by Mehrtens, one J trip has been cut out as is the case in one run by the Rotorua Bus Company, Rotorua-Haniurana., via Ngongotaha. The Rotorua Bus Company's application for a sight-seeing trip, Rotorua to Waiotapu and return was refused. These were the main alterations, other services being unchanged., Mr. E. L. Walton was chairman of the authority, Messrs J. Cliff-McCul-lough and J. L. Farrell members, and Mr. H. R. Neas, clerk. The authority concl.ud.ed its deliberations yesterday.
