SPONGES MADE EASY
A ' sponge bas always been soipewhat of a trial to the busy housewife, with its tiresome beating, but even as fashions in clotbes advance so do fashions in cooking cbange aiso. Have you heard of the three-rainute sponge V I daresay many of you have, but for those who haven't, here is the easy recipe. To one cupful of flour add a small cup of sugar, then sprinkle ligbtly over this 1 level teaspoon of bakiiig powder, but do not stir into the flour and sugar. Next add 2 tablespoons of melted butter and drop in three unbeaten eggs. Three tablespoons of inilk completes the mixture, whibh is then beaten for exactly three minutes and cooked in an oven from 850 to 420 degrees.
