BACK TO GOLD

PROBABLE DECISIQNS OF COMING WORLD CONFERENCE Whangarei, Wednesday. A copy of the agenda paper prepared by the preparatory commission for submission to the forthcoming world Conferenee has been received by Captain H. M. Rushwor.th, M.P. for Bay of Islands. "It is a lengthy document couched in diplomatic terms, and requires very careful reading," he said at the meeting of the Auckland Provincial Farmers' Union this morning, "but in my opinon, it is clear that the conferenee will endeavour to have all countries of the western civilised world return to the gold basis at varying per centages. I also think that it is indicated that all monetary systems will be put under the control of the Bank of International Settlement."
