business transacted at last evening's meeting In addition to a decision to apply ;for the annual Dominion tournament matters affecting the game in Rotor ' ma were considered at the f ortnight■ly meeting -of the Rotorua Ladies' U-Iockey Association held last evening. Ihe president, Miss K. Carnachan, ■presided, a good attendance beirig present. Mr. A. C. Y/atts was approved as a delegate for the Te Puke Association, which advised its intention of again affiliating with the Rotorua As-.-.ociation. The report of the annual meeting, New Zealand Womeri's Hockey As■ociation was read by the secretary and received. The report stated that , ,the rules of the controlling association had been altered by the annual meeting to provide for the nomination of one riiember of each affiliated association as a vice-president of the controlling association and also to 'revert to the rule permitting managers to aceompany teams on tour. Interpretations of rules of the game were also given in the report. It is decided to nominate the president, Miss K. Carnachan, as a vicepresident New Zealand Women's Hockey Association in accordanee with the new rule. A suggestion that annual conferences should be held in Wellington was- agreed to with the stipulatiori that the conference should he held in conjunction with the annual torirnament. It was considered that this system would be less costly arid would avoid associations expense in sending representatives to a separate conference at Wellington each year. Unfirianc'ial Association The Auckland Association advised that Tauranga were an unfinancial association and.it was decided to adr vise Te Puke and Whakatane accordingly and that if either club played this association it would be liahle to v. fine imposed by the N.Z.W.H.A. ■ ' The closing date for eritries from elubs for the seven-a-side tourney- dri i June 3 was fixed as May 29, and the c-ntry fee reduced from 10/6' to' 5/-. In future meetings will be held monthly on the first Monday of each month, a management committee, eomprising Miss K. Carnachan, : P. Glass, E. Mitchell, Messrs • A. C. Watts and C. J.-Casey heing constituted to transact ordinary business. In view of the date of the allocat'ion of the Dominion tourney beihg fearly in June, the first meeting will not be held until news of the allocation is received. Mr. A. C. Watts was appointed selector. , The draw for next Saturday is. as follows: — ^ Shamrocks v. Arawa, No. 2, Mr. Casey. , • . ' Taniwha v. Mourea, No. 1, Mr. Watts. - ■ ■ Both games will commence at 2 p.m. ' \ ; -
