Auckland, Monday. The third trial of Mrs. Elspeth Kerr, aged 40, nurse, on charges of [ administering poison with intent to injure, was opened to-day before Mr. : Justice Herdman. Mr. Meredith, Crown Prosecutor, and Mr. McCarthy conducted the prosecution, and accused was defended by Mr. Singer and Mr. Meek. Twenty-nine names were drawn before the jury was empanelled. Mr. Meredith outlined the case and evidence is now heing given on lines similar to the previous trials, at both of which the jury disagreed.
