0 ENJOYABLE DANCE HELD ON THURSDAY NIGHT
. The popularity of the "Adelphi Boys" was again shown when 125 couples attended the dance at King
Street Hall on Thursday night. The fleor was in perfect order and the dancing went with a swing. Miss Del Thompson, of Rotorua, delighted the company with several tap dance items, which were enthusiastically encored. Tommy S'tratton, the comedian, as little "Fanny Doyle," sang the ditty "Childhood Days" and had a very generous measure of appreciation. For an encore he sang "Only a Sailor's Sweetheart." The other members of the hand delighted the dancers with their very high musical standard. A dainty supper was served in the hall, after which dancing was again resumed until the early hours of the morning. Among those present were: — Mesdames Guy Turnbull (ivory silk 'embo~sed net), Max Nairn (black ring velvet and silver lame), M. Warbrick (black crinkle crepe), A. McGregor (delphinium georgette), L.
