STATISTICS SHOW WORLD IS GETTING MORE HEALTHY NO UNDERFEEDING

Wellington, Friday. Statistics compiled by the Government health authorities show that there is no evidence. of mal-nutrition amopg schqol children in New Zea'land, said the Minister for Health, the Hon. J. A. Young. The Minister said that in spite of a statement as to the effect of underfeeding, it was remarlcable that in New Zealand as well as in other eountries, there was evidence of a falling olr in sickness. j Many hospitals which were previously overcrowded, now had beds lying idle. It had been proved that this was not due to people being unable to alford treatment, but because. sickness was definiteiy declining.
