ACCIDENTS IN RAIN Rec. May 20, 11.30 p.m. Sydney, May 19. ' Reports from all parts of the city and suburbs disclose heavy darnage as the resuTt of this evening's deluge, .when two inches of rain fell in an hour and 3J inches in two hours. It is stUl pelting down, causing flooding in all low lying areas. Damage estimated at £2000 was caused at Waterloo factory where the stock was drenehed. Water rose four feet on Anzae Parade, Randwick. Most racecourses and football grounds are under water. There were numerous street mishaps, in which mator cars got out of action. A workman was mangled by a tram on the harbour bridge owing to bad visibility. Three persons were ; knocked down by trams for the same reason. /
