SAVAGE AGAIN WINS IN ROTORUA AMATEUR EVENT FASTEST TIME TO HEAD The second event of the Rotorua Amateur Athletic and Cyeling Club's winter road racing season was decided on Saturday afternoon over a course of 12J miles. A fine race resulted in L. Savage again being the winner closely followed hy A. Beckett in .second place land R. Melton third. H. Bellini and C. Head lapped well together and in a spdrited finish the first-named rode into fourth position with' a wheel advantage. S. Howe, the scratch man conld not make any impression on the front markers. Fastest time was secured hy C. Head (2min) in 38min 5 2-5sec. | Following are the placings: — | L. Savage (5imin) 1 A. Beckett (51min) 2 |R. M'elton (6min) 3 Time. 38min 23sec.
