GRAND THEATRE
TO-NIGHT. Framed into fame! That's a . strangely paradoxial situation for a J person to find himself in — it is diffi- ; cult to think of the words "fame" | and "frame" in a reciprocal relation- j ship. Yet, it is the plausible, if . novel, state of affairs that the h'ero , of "Deception," the film showing tonight at the Grand Theatre, is thrust ^ into. The hero we spealc of is Nat Pen- : dleton, a stalwart screen player, most 1 recently seen in "By Whose Hand?" Unaware that he has won his renown under false pretences, he wears the raiments of false glory not wisely, but too well. Dazzled by fame, he is-easy prey for women. It is not ( long before he is beaten by a blonde j —and that is the beginning of his J journey down. But he liked sitting on j the top1 too well to take his la.ll as a | matter of fact . . .and therein liea t the tale that takes Nat Pendleton and { the rest of the cast of "Deception" J through several reels of surprise action.
