SUNSHINE LEAGUE SATISFACTORY RESULT ACHIEVED IN RECENT SHOW THANKS TO OFFICERS (From Our Own Corespondent) A well attended meeting of the Opotiki Sunshine Leagne was held in the County Couneil Chambers on Monday, Mrs. P." Stuart presiding. Accounts amounting to £1 14s. 2d were pased for payment. The result of the Chrysanthemum Show was very satisfactory the net proceeds being £24 2s. 6d. The president especially thanke-d Mrs. C. Clarke (secretary) and Mrs. Hughes(treasurer) of the show committee for the successful outcome of the show. Mrs. Stuart's resignation as presij dent of the Sunshine League was reI ceived with regret, Mrs. Morice and fMrs. Kidd, speaking in eulogistic ' terms of the work done by Mrs. Stuart during her term of office. The annual meeting of the league • will be held in St. John's Hall on j Monday, June 12. —
