TRAMPING CLUB SOCIAL

On Tuesday evening, the president of the Tramping Club, Mr. H. W. Beale, entertained the members, of the club (at a most enjoyable social at their residence, Pukaki Street. Mr. Hamilton gave an interesting talk on his tramping experiences in the South and in the North Island. Members listened most attentively tq stories of adventure, and of bird, insect and plant life. At the conclusion of the lecture, Mr. Beale thanked Mr. Hamilton for h'is interesting address and the remainder of the evening was devoted to discussion of past tramps and tramps to come. Among those present were: — Mr. and Mrs. Beale, Mr. Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. Gribble, Mr. and Mrs. Plimmer, Miss N. Worrall, Miss K. Carnachan, Mr. D. McKerras, Mr. H. Johnson and Mr. S. Henry.
