YOUNG PEOPLE'S DANCE.
A genuine surprise party was arranged by Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Guy Pearce for the latter's two sons, Ted. and Pat, who are home; for the holidays from Wanganui College. The party was held at Mrs. Anderson's ■h'ome in Sophia St., and a merry evening was spent in games and dancing. On arrival, the guests were received by Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Pearce, the former wearing ravenswing satin, while the latter was in black embroidered georgette. Floral decorations . had been artistically carried out in autumn chrysanthemums and leafy foliage. A Monte Carlo dance, which was included in the evening's novelties, was won by Linette Anderson and Trevor Ford. » Among the young people present were. — 'Miss Linette Anderson, Miss Heather Pearce, Miss Joan Ford, Miss Yvonne Ford, Miss Betty Urquhart, Miss Gwenyth' Sloane, Miss Clivena Young, Miss Moana McKenzie, Miss Betty Keane, Miss Audrey Parlane, Miss Margaret Budd, Pat and Ted Pearce, J. and B. Christophers, Kingsley Matthews, Alwyn Robertson, Norman Hinton, Glan Brooker and Gus and Trevor Ford.
