UNEMPLOYED RIOT ENDS IN FATALITY TO POLICEMAN

Rec. May 10. Ottawa, May 9.. A Saskatoon message states that 25 unemployed are being charged with rioting, following the death of Jnspector L. J. S'ampson, of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Inspector Sampson was hit by a rock and dragged by his bolting horse. When fifty men refused to leave a camp for work in Regina there was a pitched battle, and the ejected men stormed the dining hall.
