FARMERS ALARMED BY CASES OF MYSTERIOUS ' OUTRREAKS

Christchurch, Monday. Several stocks of valuable winter feed have been destroyed by mysterious fires in th'e Marshland distfici; during recent weeks and are believed to be of incendiary origin. Farmers are perturbed, and are considering the engagement of armed guards for their properties. The latest incident occurred last night, when a shed owned "by E. 'A. Crozier and containing 20 tons of hay, as well as a garage and cowshed, were destroyed. In one yearjier fine two motor vehicles were destroyed.
