'NUMBERS OF INDIAN COTTON MILLS ! CLOSING I \ Calcutta, May 2 Cottbn mills are closing daily in Bombay due to Japanese dumping. Thou^ands of workers are idle and the indv^stry is facing ruin. The Government is expected in a few dayk to open negotiations with Japan vyho is pressing for a trade agreemept, and is willing to concede anything providing she is not completely shut out from a valuable Indian majrket.
