MOTOR CRASH

CAR AND TRUCK COLLIDE ON TE POI-TAURANGA ROAD ONE DRIVER INJURED A serious motor collision resulting in much damage to the two vehicles concerned and necessitating medical attention to the driver of one oceurred at an intersection on the Te PoiTauranga Road on Wednesday morning. Laden with posts, a truek owned by Mr. G. Robertson and driven by Mr. J. Ogden, of Ngongotaha, was crossing the intersecting roads when a collision occurred with a car owned by Mr. T. R. Keys, of Te Puke, and driven by Mr. R. C. Warner. Travelling in the car were two passengers beside the driver. The two vehicles met with a resounding crash and as the truck slewed round, the load of 100 posts were thrown in all directions for a distance of half a-chain. [ Mr. Odgen, the driver of the truck, was also thrown clear and in addition to concussion was badly cut about the face, hands and legs. He was attended by Dr. Laurenson, of Matamata, and was later able to be conveyed to his home in Ngongotaha. Both vehicles were extensively damaged, but luckily' little injury was suffered by the driver and passengers in the other vehicle.
