TWO YOUNG MEN CHARGED AND REMANDED FOR WEEK

Dunedin, Monday. As a sequel to the Wakari hold-up on Tliursday night Alan Clive Mangan (21), and William E. Allan (17) were charged this morning that while armed with an offensive weapon they robbed a taximan, Thomas Hyde. The police stated that when Hyde drove accused to Wakari on Thursday night they held him up with a revolver, which has not been recovered. At least one other charge of burglary will be preferred against accused. The men were remanded until May 1. Bail was refused.
