ELECTIONS NECESSARY FOR BOTH COUNCIL AND MAYORALTY POWER AND HOSPITAL BOARDS Two nominations have been received for the. mayoralty of the Opotiki borough, Mr. G. S. Moody, and the sitting mayor, Mr. J. T. Thompson, but there are eleven nominations for the seven seats in the council. In addition to the members of the sitting council, Messrs. A. J. Anderson, C. Hambly, S. Paterson, and S. E. Webb, are offering themselves for election. For the two seats on the Power Board, Messrs. A. L. Arrowsmith, J. J. Moody and T. Hitchens have been nominated as well as Mr. W. Burrett, ' who is the present borough representative on the board. Mr. F. J. Short has been returned unopposed to the hospital board.
