A request from the Under-Secretary Department of Internal Aifairs /With j reference to annual eatimates of expenditure was referred to the secxetary as also was a request from the Inspector of Fire' Brigades, Wellington for annual returns and reports on fires in th'e district. Rev. Father P. J. Lagan, Rotorua, is to be informed that the board ha;s not a fire bell for sale. In his quarterly report to the board the brigade superintendent, Mr. T. Anderson, stated that during the quarter six calls had been received. Th'e equipment of the brigade was in good order and practices had been well attended and useful work carried out. At the Auckland demionstration a team from the brigade had won the Brereton Shield and been placed fifth in the championship. Eighteen brigades, and 41 teams had competed. The financial statement was presented and adopted and aecounts totalling £257 4s 7d passed for payment.
