WOMEN'S INSTITUTE WOODLANDS BRANCH HOLDS MONTHLY MEETING. IRESULTS OF COMPETITIONS.

Ihe monthly meeting of .the Woodlands Women's Institute was held on Wednesday in the Woodlands Hall, Mrs. J. Armstrong presiding. After business was dealt with, a social programme commenced with a Roll • Call — a Limerick on members' names — which caused considerable amusement. A very interesting demonstration on weaving with wool was given by Miss D. Dickinson, for which she was aceorded a hearty vote of thanks. A particularly good silhouette competition came next and was won by Mrs. Noble. The competitors who gained first place in the points competition for the day were. — Chrysanthemmus. — Mrs. Beattie. Dahlias. — Mrs. Beattie. Six Best Scones. — Mrs. J. Armstrong. A vote of thanks to the hostesses, Mesdames P. Mulhern, W. E. Sargent, Barber, C. Reid, concluded the meeting.
