CLOSE SECRECY OBSERVED REGARDING ITS PROVISIONS

Rec. April 21, 11 p.m. Sydney, April 21. The Federal Cabinet met in Sydney and discussed the New Zealand trade treaty, giving detailed examination to the proposed treaty which will be submitted to Parliament almost immediately. Strict secrecy is being maintained regarding its provisions, but it can be stated authoritatively that it provides for the raising by New Zealand of its embargo on Austtalian" ' fruit and vegetables on eertain conditions. The most controversial of these is the Dominion's request for the removal by Australia of its quarantine em- ' bargo on New Zealand potatoes.
