A HOLD-UP

ATTACK BY YOUNG MEN Dunedin, Friday. The latest development in the crime epidemic was an attempt by two men to rob a taxi-d'river, Thomas Hyde, on a lonely road near Wakari last night. Hyde was engaged by two young men to drive them about a mile past Wakari. In a lonely spot he was ordered by one, who presented a ...revolver, to get out, but while the other man was between the taximan and the weapon, engaged in searching the d'river's pockets, Hyde struck out, whereupon both decamped. They got nothing but a matchbox, though Hyde h'ad £6 on him. The police have a good description of the young men.
