MAJESTIC THEATRE

TO-NIGHT. After several shorts George Wallace is now presented to us in his first feature film, "His Royal Highness." Plenty of fun for those who enjoy j broad, self-evident humour; there's ; nothing subtle about Wallace's work. ! Besides the star are Beryl Walkley, | Marshall Crosby, Field Fishes, John ! Fernside, Lou Vernon, Frank Tarrant ! (son of the old international cricke- ; ter), Donalda Warne, Clexn Melton, l Nell Taylor, Edwin Br,ett. ! The.story onee more concerns a myj thical European kingdom, of which j Wallace (Tommy Dodd in the film) j is discovered fo be the long-lost moni arch and it is the antics of the totally | unedueated royal gentlenian at the court which produce roars of laughter I from the audience Coming from the j vaudeville stage he is a winner in dancing and singing. There is no doubt whatever that a man who can carry such a long film — an hour and a half — practically on J his own with such success has the j makings of a comedy star in him. j The cast, many of which are from i the stage, ably support Wallace, Marj shall Crosby as Alfam, who sings well, being- one of the chief. The music is | well up to the average of this kind of ' niixed picture and 'several of the j voices are unusually good. Good supports will also be screened.
