ROTORUA CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP PAIRS NEARING FINALS HANDICAP GAMES CONTINUED The seventh rOund of the Rotorua Bowling Club's championship pairs and the fifth round of the handicap pairs were played on Saturday afternoon. In the championship games, G. French and A. Budd have won section B outright with 6 wins and one loss as also have W. Knaggs and T. Kelly in the A Section, with the same num•ber of wins and losses. Section C is still unfinish'ed but the winner will play French and Budd, Knaggs and Kelly meeting the winner of this game in the final. Saturday's results were as follows. Championship Pairs Section A: Bertram and Butt 22 beat Shepherd and Herd 14; Foster and Lindsay 17 beat Lee and PolglaSe 16; Knaggs and Kelly 21 beat McGuffog and Mohi 14; Fltzgerald and Jones 22 beat Watts and Corbett 19. Section B: Jenkins and Queenin 22 beat Anaru and Hamilton 21; French' and Budd 21 beat Calver and Pearce 17; Brownie and Young 24 beat Paul and Fowkes 19. Handicap Pairs !R. Griffiths and Stallard (5) 32 beat Newmarch and Gardner (2) 6; Harvey and Wright (10) 25 beat Rowe and Collins (3) 22; Jackson and J. A. Brown (7) 30 beat Roberts and Fletcher (10) 26; Watson and Cooney (5) 24 beat McElroy and Duff (8) 23.
