NGONGOTAHA SALE

The Loan and Mercantile Company held their monthly stock sale at Ngongotaha yesterday, when a fair yarding was offered and prices were on a par with recent saies. These saies which were cancelled for some months, have recently been revived and yesterday's sale showed great improvement on the last few both in attendance of buyers and numbers of stock offered. Prices rpalised were: — Good steers, up to £2 16s; store steers, £2 to £2 11s; store cows, £1 9s to £1 15s; 2-year heifers, £1 11s to £1 14s; cows and calves, £1 10s; sheep: ewes, 6s 6d to 6s lOd; lambs, 6s to 7s; weaner pigs, 7s.
