GOLF DANCE
OPENING DAY'S FUNCTION. Mixed foursomes did not .see the conclusion of the opening day's function of the Arikikapakapa links on Saturday, for a moist lenjoyable and jolly dance liad been arranged foi* the evening. Dancing took place in the diningroom and on the spacious verandah adjoining, while the lounges were artistically arranged with pink cosmos, land made oosy retreats between the dances. Among those present were: — Mrs-. E. La Trobe Hill, who wore walnut brown and amber ninon; Mr,s. A. V. P. Ford, peacock blue floral ninon; Mrs. H. Hamilton, autumn .shaded taffeta; Mrs. R. Copeland Smith, red, white and gold figured georgette; Mrs. E .Fenton, black and white fignred ninon; Mrs. H. Bertram, black beaded georgette; Mrs. L. J, Bayfeild, emerald green lace; Mrs. F. C. Bunyard, black panne velvet; Mrs. J. H. Herrold, lime and black floral taffeta; Mrsi. S. L. Piaterson, sunset pink floral taf- : feta. . Miss E. Vigor Broiwn (Napier), nigger brown chiffon velvet; Miss 0. Bickerton (Auckland), parara violet satin; Miss M. Cooney, shell pink Isprigged organdie; Miss D. Griffiths, pale pink net and' igaorgette; Miss G. La Trobe Hill, ciel blue peau dange, iMdss J. Pearce, cameo pink crinkle crepe; Miss J. Bertrlaan, betty 'blue floral georgette; Miss Thompson (Napier), ivory figured georgette.
