TO-NIGHT.
One of the most hazardous air feats ever attempted will be shown on the screen of the Grand Theatre to-night, where Universal5s "Air Mail55 provides the feature lattraction. Swooping from the clouds at 120 miles an hour, a mail plane roars through an , airplane hanger with hut a f ew feet clearance on either side. Other diaredevil sky manoeuvres. are said to make the film an authentic picturisation of miraculous flying skill. Ralph Bellamy, Gloria Stuart, Pa.t O'Brien, Slim Summerville, Russell Hopton and Lilian Bond are the principal players. This excitng picture, it is said, tells the story of the unisung heroes to
whom facing death and danger is just a part of the day5s work. Events centre around a desert airport mail relay station where .a group of flyers of different types of character and various pasts are gia.thered to "puf the mail through'5 regardless of all obstacles. The drama of their lives in the eonstant shadow of a flyer5s death, and the clashes of personalities in the isolated station provide this, film with unusual power and excit'ement, aceording to advance reports. An authentic insight into the lives and duties of these intrepid airmen and some of the most speetaeular aviation photography yet brought to the screen makes "Air Mail55 a veritable ace among pictures. Important parts are also portrayed by William Daly, Leslie Fenton, Frank Alhertson, Tom Carrigan, Hans Furherg and David Landau.
