TWO AUSTRALIANS
NUMBERED AMONG VICTIMS Rec. March 29, 8.40 p.m. Syd'ney, March 29. Two victims of the British. air disaster, Mr. U. Mellraith, aged 24 years and his sister, Miss K. Mellraith, aged 18, were the son and daughter of Mr. W. Mellraith, a leading Sydney merchant. The girl had just completed her education in Germany and was on her way home. Her broth.er went to Germany especially to bring her back to Sydney. The brother completed his education at the North Sydney Grammar School in 1929. The poignancy of the aeroplane tragedy is intensified by information received by the Australian Press Association to the effect that Miss Katherine Mellraith intended to return to Australia shortly with her brother as escort. He was ahout 24 and arrived in England in January and went to Paris, where on February 14 he commenced an European tour with his sister, visiting many cities. Miss Mellraith came to England with her mother in January 1931 and went to Cheltenham Ladies' College. Then at the end of last summer she commenced living with a family in Paris in order to increase her knowledge of Freneh. \ The brother and sister recently fiew ffoih Amsterdarn to Berlin. Mr. Hugh Mellraith on Monday telegraph-
