GRAND THEATRE

TO-NIGHT. What is said to be George O'Brien's outstanding screen achievement will be seen to-night at the. Grand Theatre with the opening of his newest Fox Films vehicle, "Riobbers' ■ Roost." It has .a. supporting cast headed by Maureen O'Sullivan and one of Zane Grey's most exciting tales as a basis for its plot. The story deals with' an actual oecurrence in Arizona cattle history, ,and with the exception of the interior scenes, the production was filmed at the actual locale of the event. O'Brien is portrayed as a fugitive who joins a group of cattle rustlers headed by the foreman of la large ranch. The xanch owner, a wealthy Britisher, lcnows nothing about the business, and the foreman plans to round up the entire herd, drive it over the border of Mexico and sell it before his employer wakes to his loss. The arrival of the owner's sister from London, however, changes O'Brien's views and brings about the climax of the picture. The initial battle between O'Brien and the foreman, O'Brien's daring rescue of Miss O'Sullivan from a landsilide, his efforts to warn the owner, the midnight round-up, the capture of Miss O'Sullivan, O'Brien's escape from the "Roost" to reveal the gang's hiding pla.ee to the posse, his final show-down with the foreman and the thrilling gun-battle when the posses make their surprise attack on the "Roost" are some of the high moments in the story. Besides Miss O'Sullivan, the cast in-c-ludes Maude Eburne, who has the role of her aunt; Reginald Owen as the ranch owner; William Pawley as the scheming foreman; Walter McGrail, Robert Greig, Doris Lloyd, and Frank Rice. Louis Iving, rated as one of the leading "out-door" direetors in Ilollywood, directed the picture.
