SMALL YARDING OF SHEEP WITH SLIGHT DECLINE AT FRANKTON. CATTLE PRICES EASIER. Hamilton, Wednesday The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: — At Frankton sale on Tuesday there was again a small yarding of fat sheep, with prices hardly equal to last week's rates. An extra heavy yarding of lambs sold at prices in j advanee of export value. Cattle. — A good yarding of ox j beef met with slightly easier com- i petition, while a heavy yarding of cow beef realised prices on a par with last week's quotations. Pigs. — A full yarding of pigs came forward, comprising mostly porkers, few really first class baconers being yarded. Values were fairly steady, porkers firming slightly, while baconers sold at about. equal to last week's quotations. An extra large yarding of stores and weaners showed a considerable decline. in value, and were generally dull of sale. i We quote,— Prime 'wethers 14s 6d to 15s 3d; medium 13s 3d to 14s; light 11s 6d to 12s 4d; prime maiden ewes 8s 6d to 10s; fat ewes 7s to 7s 6d; medium 5s 6d to 6s 6d; heavy fat lambs 11s to 12s 3d; medium 9s 6d to 10s 6d. Cattle: prime fat bullocks £6 9s to £7 3s; medium £5 18s to £6 6s; lighter £5 5s to £5 16s; cow and heifer beef, £4 5s to £4 18s; medium fat cows £3 3s to £3 14s; heavy medium cows £2 15s to £3 3s; forward conditioned 30s to 38s; boners 15s to 26s; bulls £2 15s to £3 5s. Pigs: heavy baconers £2 7s to £2 10s; medium £2 13s to £2 6s; 'light 38s to £2 2s; heavy porkers 33s to 37s; medium 29s to 32s; stores,- 15s to 20s; slips, 7s 6d to 11s 6d; good weaners 6s to 8s; small 2 s 6d to 5 s.
