Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly stock sale at Frankton saleyards on Tuesday, 28th February as under: — Fat sheep: There was a moderate yarding ancf prices for light ewes and wethers were a shade higher, aged fat ewes selling at last week's prices. Lambs were on a par with last week. We quote extra prirne wethers at 14/- to 15/-, light fat wethers 11/to 13/-, extra good quality ewes xxp to 7/3, ordinary quality fat ewes 5/to 6/3, extra heavy pxume lambs sold at up to 14/-, ox-dinary fat lambs 10/- to 12/-, light and unfinished 6/- to 8/6.
Fat cattle : A fairly laxge yarding. Prices were on a par with last week's rates. Light fat bullocks made £4/11/- to £5/5/-, unfinished £3/15/to £4/10/-, prirne fat heifers (shortlxorn) £4 to £4/12/6, extra prirne Shorthorn heifei's £4/12/6, lighter heifers and young sows £2/15/- to £3/5/-, inferior and Jersey fat cows 33/- to 45/-, runners made £2/5/-, £1/19/-, £1/9/-, £1/4/-, £1.
Store cattle: A good yarding of store cattle sold at late rates. Pigs: A full yarding of both fat and store pigs caxne forward axxd sold at prices slightly easier than last week's rates. We sold best baconers £2/6/- to £2/12/-, medium baconers £2 to £2/5/-, light baconers £1/15/to £1/10/-, light porkers £1 to £1/6/ 6 choppers 15/- to £2/10/-, sows in pig £2 to £2/3/-, best stores 18/6 to £1/3/6, slips 11/6 to 17/6, best weaners 12/-, others 8/- to 11/-.
