SMALL ENTRY MEETS WITH FALL IN RULING RATES. HEAYY LAMBS IMPROVE.

Hamilton, Wednesday. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: At Frankton sale yesterday there • was a small entry of fat sheep com- | prising chief ly ewe xxiutton, for- which competition was not keen, and a drop in price is recorded. Fat lambs sold at late x-ates, with the exception of prirne heavy lambs, which showed an improvement. A medium yax'ding of fat cattle sold at equal to last week s quotations, while fair entx'y of store cattle xnaintained late values. There was an average yarding of pigs, many being of medium quality. The prices for baconers remained on a par whh late quotations, while porkers showed a slight easing in value. Baconers sold at equal to 4id. to 4|d. per- lb., and porkers also equal to 4Jd. to 4id. per lb.
Quotations: Prirne fat wethers 14/6 to 15/3, prirne fat ewes 5/6 to 6/6, lighter 4/8 to 5/-, prirne fat lambs 14/6 to 16/-, medium 11/6 to 12/6, lighter 9/10 to 10/-, vealers 28/- to 31/-, medium fat steers £5/12/- to £5/17/-, lighter £4 to £4/9/-, heavy fat cows £4/5/- to £4/10-/, medium £3/12/6 to £4, light £3 to £3/8/-, killable 31/- to 39/-, boner cows 19/to 26/-, bulls £3 to £3/15/-, 3-year P.A. steers £3/6/- to £3/10/-, 21year steers £2/9/- to £2/14/-, mixed coloured 3-year steers £2 to £2/13/-, heavy baconers £2/8/- to £2/11/-, medium £2/4/- to £2/7/-, heavy porkers 31/- to 36/-, medium 26/to 30/-, good stores 17/- to 21/6, slips 10/- to 14/-, weaners 5/- to 9/-.
