MAJESTIC THEATRE
TO-NIGHT. The dramatic story of a woman who devotes her entire lifetime to furthering the amhitions of her lover, sublimating h'er own life to his, is told in "Forbidden," the Frank Capra production, starring Barbara Stanwyck at the Majestic, with Adolphe Menjou aiid Ralph Bellamy playing leading roles. Written by Frank Capra especially for the talents of Miss Stanwcyk, and directfed by him, this Columbia picture is said to offer the star her most dramatic role. A drab little librarian, one brig-ht spring morning, decides to take her savings of years and invesit it in a grand adventure. She buys gorgeous cloth'es and sets sail for Havana. On the boat she meets Bob Grover, travelling alone. They fall madly in love, but know eacb other only by the numbersi of their staterooms — sixty-nine and ninetynine. Back in New York comes disillnsionment for the girl, for she finds he is married and a divorce would be a caddish thing to do, for bis. wife is crippled and loves him devotedly. This is wh'en the girl becomes. a woman — - a woman who plans her life and that of her lover and reaches the goal she has set for him. Frank Capra is also author of "Forbidden," the continu-ity and dialogue for which was written by Jo Swerling. Additional members of the east are Dorothy Peterson, Charlotte V. Henry, Halliwell Hobbes, baby Myrna Fresholtz, Tom Riclcetts and ThomaiS' Jefferson.
