TOTAL CLEARANCE. Hamilton- Thursday The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report on their Hamilton store sheep sale held ori Wednesday as follows: — A total clearance was effected for a slightly smaller entry of store lambs and a fairly large number of mostly aged ewes sold on account of local vendors. Competition throughout was brisk as at last week's sale, and values maintained fully late quotations. Well grown store lambs realised 7/5 to 8/-; medium do. 6/4 to 7/3; poorer 5/2 to 6/-; inferior 4/6 to 5/-; good quality 4-year ewes 9/- to 10/-; fair conditioned ewes 7/9 to 8/6; inferior up to 7/6.

Matamata, Thursday The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: — At Matamata sale on Wednesday, a good yarding of sheep came forward, consisting mainly of store lambs. The demand was good, and prices were on a par with other saies. A medium yarding of cattle maintained recent quotations. Another extra heavy yarding of all classes of pigs again came- forward. Prime baconers met with lceen competition and prices improved on last sale. being well up to Frankton rates. Porkers were slightly easier than last sale, but were also equal to other sale quotations. A large yarding of stores and weaners met with good competition, the whole yarding changing hands at satisfactory prices. Quotations: Heavy fat lambs 13/3; light fat lambs 9/9 to 10/1; good store lambs 8/- to 9/-; medium store lambs 6/9 to 7/-; cull lambs 4/11 to 5/4; S.M. ewes 6/9; cull ewes 4/4 to 4/9! fat cows, medium £3 to £3/17/-; lifht fat cows £2 to £2/15/-; killable cows, medium £1/11/- to £1/19/-; fresh store cows £1/4/; to £1/14/-; boners 10/- to £1/2/6; heavy potter bulls £4 to £5/5/-; medium potter bulls £3 to £3/15/-; light potter bulls £1/10/- to £2/7/6; yearling heifers r.w.b. £3/5/-; 3?;-year Shorthorn steers to £3/17/1; 2£-year Shorthorn steers £3 to £3/4/-.
