Rec. Feb. 17, 7.55 p.m. Brisbane, Feb. 17. It is understood that the British Rugby Union authorities have refused to agree to certain alterations in the rules which Australian players consider vital in the interests of the game in this country. The authorities are awaiting a letter from England detailing the views in order that some way out of the 1 critical situation may be f ound.
