BETTER TEAM WON

A NEWSPAPER'S TRIBUTE Rec. Feb. 16, 10.30 p.m. Sydney, February 15. Commenting on the result of the test, the Sun, in an editorial, said: "While it is permissible for ericlcet enthusiasts to find all sorts of reasons for failure of the Australia team, it is well to face the fact that the English team is the better. It is distinctly better in accuracy of its fielding, has a larger percentage of r.eliable batsmen and is stronger in bowling. Whetlier we agree that intimidation of batsmen is cricket or not, the fact remains that Larwood is an excellent fast bowler with all the speed and devil of the faster howlers of the past, but there is no need for despair. Australian cricket will come again."
