ASSAILANT ARRESTED

Rec. Feb. 16, 8.5 p.m. New York, February 15. The assailant has identified himself as Gtiisseppe Zingara, a brick mason of New York, who has been a resident of Maimi for two months. He made an excited and incoherent statement to the police, declaring that he himself was opposed to all rich men, and that he had planned an attemi.it on the life of the King of Italy. He stated that he had no personal animosity against Mr. Roosevelt, but he wanted to kill all offieers of the Government. A woman, said to be his wife, was reported to have been arrested later. A fifth person, Russell Caldwell, a resident of Maimi, was also reported wounded, indicating that six shots altogether were fired, the last shot going wide through the gripping of the assailant's wrists by Mrs. Crous of Maimi.
