POLICE AND CIVILIANS CLASH OVER MILL CLOSURE

Rec. Feb. 13, 10.30 p.m. London, February 12. The Times Cairo correspondent says that a sergeant, a constable and three civilians were injured in a conflict at Bassaniem in the province of Dakahleya, as the result of the authorities ordering the closure of a mill owned by Tolba Baker, a leading villager, for infringement of the regulations. The police enforcing the closure encountered the entire population, who feared unemployment. Fourhundred police are now beseiging the village.
