Rec. February 6. London, February 5. Mr. W. J. Devereux, representative in London of the Australian Woolgrowers' Association, reports that wool saies in London have continued active. There has been some ix*x*egularity, due to spasxnodic competition of Continental buyex's, and merino have shown some slight easing. Still the average is about 5 per cent. above the December closing rates. Fine crossbreds continue to be eagerly bought. There as suhstantial business in medium lone erossbred tops for export, but local machinery activity is poor. Trade with France is quietex* lax*gely owing to politics.
