TITLES DECIDED ROTORUA CLUB HOLDS CHAMP'ION SHIP EYENTS SOME GOOD PERFORMANCES The first section of the 1932 championship events were decided by the RotoruaAmateur Athletic and Cycling Club at its evening sports meeting at the Government Grounds last evening. Before the completion of the programme light rain made conditions -unpleasant and a north-westerly wind was not conducive to good times. In the 440 yards event, W. Young ran a fine raee to take the title in the good time of 55 4-5sec, by ten yards from A Lillas, The women's field event performances in the A Grade were not as good as last year, although J. Allen made a fine jump of 13ft 2in in the B grade. In the same event for men distances in both grades were increased, H. 'Steele winning the A grade -title and A. Beckett the- B grade. A fine throw of 100ft 3in was made by Scott in the B Grade of the Javelfn event, performances in this grade being again better than the A section, which was won by J.
