CHEERING CROWDS
NAZIS EXTOL HINDENBURG. Berlin, Jan. 30. The dramatic elevation of Herr Hitler to power came hot on Ihe heels of Hitler's declaration that he would not partieipate in a party Cabinet but a conference between President Hindenburg, Herrs Papen, Ilugenberg, Goering, Blomberg and Hitler brought a change of mind. Berlin had scarcely recovered from the shock before Hitler, driving to the ICaiserhof Hotel, was tumultuously acclaimed, crowds of young women blowing him lcisses. A remarkable feature of the demonsLjation was the stentorian leader periodically shouting "Deutchland," to which the crowds - responded tumultuously with "awake." The point of speculation at the moment is whether Herr Hitler will induce the Centre and Bavarian People's (Parties, which are both Catholics, to support the Cabinet with their B9 votes, without which a majority is impossible. The alternative, it is commonly suggested is an early dissolution and a new election on the slogan "Rqlly to Hindenburg and Hitler for the rescue of the Fatherland." Meanwhile the Nazis are extolling President Hindenburg as a war leader linking his glory with the name of young Gennany. The Nazis' manifesto says "Twelve million people swear to flght inside the Government camp as they did outside. We stand or fall with Hitler!"
